PUBLIC NOTICE

The Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) wishes to inform the public that the following the closure of specific registers last year, HPCZ has no objection for any employer to engage practitioners from the listed registers below. Any institution requiring any expertise or skills of personnel in these fields, is at liberty to do so at their own terms, conditions and standards.

The following are the Registers being referred to:

1. Laboratory Scientists (BSC in Laboratory Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry & Biotechnology).

2. Science Laboratory Technologists (Diploma in Laboratory Science).

3. Health Promotion Officers (BSC Environmental Education).

4. Health Promotion Technologists (Diploma in Environmental Education).

These professionals possess the necessary scientific qualifications and are expected to operate in the environment suitable for their training, including Health Facilities. However, it is important to note that their training falls outside the regulatory scope of the HPCZ mandate. Consequently, they are not subject to registration as Health Practitioners under the HPCZ.
