Friday, 13 December 2019, LUSAKA- Minister of Health Dr. Chitalu Chilufya says Zambia is earmarked to be the centre of excellence for Clinical Care. He describes 2019 as a year of unmatched Political Will, with President Edgar Lungu’s support for the attainment of Universal Heath Coverage agenda.
Dr. Chilufya was speaking at the Zambia Medical Association (ZMA) 2019 Annual Ball and Awards Gala at Intercontinental Hotel in Lusaka.
Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) Registrar and CEO Mr. Bwembya B. Bwalya, Director- Corporate Services Mr. Innocent Kolala, Assistant Registrar- Training Dr. Muchenelah Chibasa and some members of staff of the Council were in attendance.
The renewal exercise for 2020 certificates and licenses runs up to 31st December 2019. Please note that there will be no extension. You are duly reminded to comply with the conditions of your certificate/license.

HPCZ would like to inform all Health Practitioners (Zambians and Non-Zambians) on the Government Payroll Management Establishment and Control (PMEC) System, that online renewal services is strictly for renewing, downloading and printing of practicing licences.

The Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) has observed with concern the high numbers of Health Practitioners visiting its head office at plot No. 7 Chaholi Road in Rhodespark, Lusaka despite an earlier notice discouraging such visits.
Kindly note that HPCZ appreciates the interest expressed by practitioners to apply for vacancies announced by Ministry of Health, however, we wish to remind our practitioners that safety is Prime.
It is in this vein we encourage that if it is unattainable for you to utilise our electronic systems, please be advised that our Lusaka office situated at PLOT 8/1330 ENOCK KAVU ROAD, RHODESPARK is also collecting applications for registration or renewal of certificates.
We need to maintain social distancing so do not come and gather at the entrance of the head office, the guard has been instructed to allow only one person at a time so utilise our alternative office to avoid being in a queue for longer periods.
The Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) is hereby informing all health practitioners, health facilities, training institutions, stakeholders and the general public that face-to face interaction with HPCZ staff at ALL its offices, when conducting all manner of business has with immediate effect from Monday 11th January 2021, been temporarily suspended until further notice. This measure has been inevitably necessitated in the wake of escalating second wave of Covid-19 cases as shared by the Ministry of Health (MoH) whose guidelines require action such as this one to curb the spread of the pandemic.
